Madrassa Support
Mission Manenberg provides ongoing support for Madaris that are affiliated to the initiative.
Collectively, hundreds of children attend the afternoon madaris. Thus the children are kept off the streets, fed with a daily meal from the soup kitchens and providing them with Islamic education. And most importantly, a safe, nurturing environment.
Ladies and adult classes are also offered and supported with regular feedback, follow-ups and engagement with the teachers
Funding required for the Madaris include stipends for the teachers, stationery, administration costs, uniforms, iftaars and other events.

Teacher Support
Mission Manenberg supports madrassa teachers in the advancement of their Islamic education by providing scholarships to attend recognised Islamic Institutions. In addition, further training is provided to develop the madrassa teachers by providing access to teacher training workshops, and personal development programmes. These training programmes are fully funded for the selected Mu’allims and Mu’allimahs who teach the children and adults at different premises within Manenberg.
Bread Drive

A distribution of approximately 1800 breads is done monthly in the Manenberg Community. Volunteers from the community go door-to-door ensuring each home in the specified area receives at least one loaf of bread. The process is co-ordinated by the Mission Manenberg team.
Fundraising for the distribution of loaves of bread occurs monthly and sponsorships may be made to the Mission Manenberg bank account.
Ramadaan Projects
Both initiatives require extensive funding and your support would be much appreciated.
